Totally Bananas

Moment, but no Kodak…

Don’t you hate it when you have the perfect Kodak moment but you sit there looking around and the camera is on the counter in the kitchen.  We just had this moment in time.

I had turned Aiden loose in the playroom to perfect his crawling styles and I heard James rumbling in his room.  Aiden can’t go far – YET- so I quickly ran upstairs and grabbed James.  By the time I got downstairs with him, his stinky-ness  was mind boggling.  So a change was in order.  I placed him on the playroom floor and began the daunting task (perhaps motherhood should be profiled on TLC’s Dirty Jobs). Aiden, clearly curious as to the smell, came flopping on over and with a big wet grin eyed James’ face.  He started playing James’ hair and James just giggled and laughed.  As I finished and realized I needed to be capturing this for all posterity, James reached back and grabbed Aiden’s hand all the while both are giggling (I’m thinking he’s going to squeeze his hand or pinch him or something – not even close) – James says very nicely “Mommy, I got him”.  Yup you do buddy, he gets 1,000 big brother points for being so gentle and careful with Aiden ever since the day we brought him home.  Thanks for being such a good big brother and not bopping Aiden in the head when you see that big drool faucet coming at your face!
