Fall Craft Project

So, Amanda over at Impress Your Kids has started to do a weekly fall project each Wednesday, and I wanted to share what we’ve been doing.  Fall is so jam packed with ‘events’ that it was so easy to just start with a plain poster board and add to it the different things that we did or will do, and at the end of it *poof* we have a neat collage of our fall goings on.  So far it looks a little like this….

…I don’t have a photo printer so I can’t be bothered with adding pictures to our collage, it’s just too much work.

What you can’t see is that the leaves on the side are organized by color – James was asked to get red, orange, yellow and brown leaves and we labeled them.  We made apple crisp, so we put some well proprotioned apples on there – no really, apple trees in CT are small, we went pumpkin picking and then carved it (hence the 2 year old interpretation of a face on the pumpkin), and he added some stickers that he got while trick or treating.  In the weeks to come, we’ll most definitely add a hand turkey, perhaps a pie or two or ten, and maybe a scarecrow if we make one with our leaves.

So, since we had already started something along the lines of what Amanda is doing, we’ll stay a week behind and next Wednesday we’ll do what she did this week – I love her idea and it gives me a few days to get all the supplies!! 🙂

What a great project! I’m so bad & I haven’t done hardly anything, except for the Halloween decorations. I need to get some stuff going. Great job!
